About Event Mentor
Who are we?
Event Mentor is a collaboration between event management practitioners Kristie Walker, Tam Pay and communication specialists Matt and Ruth Clare from Mono Design. We have met every Monday night for the past two years once the children are in bed. Over countless cups of tea and a truckload of chocolate, we created Event Mentor
Kristie Walker and Tam Pay have provided full event management for: Black Saturday recovery workshops and anniversary events (including Flowerdale, Kinglake, Marysville), Big West Festival, Chinese New Year Festival, Community Chef building launch, Golden Plains Festival, High Vibes Music Festival, Manningham Spring Festival, Meredith Music Festival, Midsumma Carnival, Spring Fling Street Festival and The Village Festival - among many others.
Ruth and Matt Clare are a husband and wife team who run Mono Design, a graphic design, illustration and copywriting studio that has been providing expert communication since 1996. Mono Design has a particular passion in working with community and not-for-profit clients such as: CFA, City of Whittlesea, Moreland City Council, Brimbank City Council, Darebin City Council, Knox City Council, Parliament of Victoria, Department of Education and RMIT University. They have created brands and designed marketing materials for many festivals and events including: High Vibes Music Festival, Spring Fling Street Festival, MoreArt, Fawkner Festa, Glenroy Festival, Coburg Carnivale, Pascoe Vale Festival and Northern Exposure arts festival to a name a few.

Like any mentor, we hope you can benefit from our years of event management experience. By sharing our insider tricks and tips we aim to help you make your event planning easier.
